Does the EZ Trades app cost money?

No! The app is 100% free for both Pros and customers alike. The customer will pay when they schedule a call with a Pro. If the call is cancelled for any reason, the customer will be refunded.

How does the video call work on my phone?

The video call is completely encompassed within the app. It is not a phone call. Neither party has access to the phone number of the other.

Does the app work between Apple and Android?

Yes! Unlike Facetime or an Android video call, the app is fully integrated to make a video call between any two devices, regardless of operating system.

How long will the video call last?

The standard video call is up to 15 minutes. Since the app is designed to take care of minor issues and diagnosis, you should not have to roll over into another 15-minute call segment. You have an audible warning beep every five minutes throughout the call and a 2 ½ minute grace period over the 15 minutes. At 17 ½ minutes, a second charge will apply.

What kind of problems can I use the app for?

EZ Trades is designed as an alternative to an expensive in-person service call to your house for minor issues that you may be able to take care of yourself with some help from a Pro. Small leaks, funny smells, slow or clogged drains, low water pressure, pilot light questions, and other small items are all things that can potentially be solved with a video call through the EZ Trades app.

What if I smell gas?

We will never try to diagnose a gas leak through the EZ Trades app. If you suspect a gas leak or have a gas emergency, you should call 911, your local fire department or your gas company immediately. We can schedule a licensed professional to visit your home and diagnose the problem.

What if the technician can’t help me fix the problem during the video call?

There is always a risk that your problem will require an on-site visit. If that happens, our office can schedule an appointment to make the repair for you. However, the technician will at that point have preliminary information about the repair and be more prepared upon arrival, still saving you time and money in the long run.
